The Event:

Hang gliders and Paraglider pilots will take off from Mt. Swansea from about 9:30 am to about 6:00 pm and have a water landing contest beside the Lakeside Pub. In addition there is also an aerobatic contest for Paraglider pilots which will take place above Lake Windermere.
After the contest, a great party follows with a live band, playing for all pilots of any aircraft, family, friends and spectators.

Due the economical challenges we do not have as many sponsors as we used to and we can not include t-shirts in the deal anymore. T-shirts can be purchased from Friday night at the "drop-in party" at the Lakeside.

Entry fee includes ground transportation for pilots to take-off site, transportation of hang gliders by helicopter to take-off site (if a helicopter is available), pancake breakfast, banquet and party at Lakeside Pub to follow.

NOTE: Make sure you have a valid HPAC membership with insurance. If not, you can purchase insurance at the event at cost plus $10.00.

Please email us at fly@lakesideevent.com to indicate your intentions to come to the Lakeside Event. Please include how many guests and children will be coming. Also provide us with your address and HPAC #. Let us know if you are a PG or HG and include your email address.

If you are visiting from another country we will have temporary memberships available.

Friday evening is the Drop-in Party at the Lakeside pup.
Registration and t-shirts will be starting at the Lakeside pub this evening.

Camping possibilities will be at Mt Swansea and Campers can camp at Blue Lake parking (5 km behind Mt. Swansea)
